Frequently Asked Questions

What denomination are you?

We’re not part of any denomination. We are, however, a member of the Ignite Network of churches which is part of Plumbline Ministries. If you want to know what we believe, check out our statement of faith.

Who governs TLC?

TLC is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and all its activities are in line with our trust deed. Governance and all decisions regarding TLC are strategically brought by the TLC Leadership Team. All financial and legal matters are overseen by a group of Trustees, and our financial books are open to anyone who inquires and are published on the Charities Commission website.

Any money given to TLC is used to provide for those who minister in the Church, for evangelism, community engagement and mission, as well as practical running costs.

What can I expect when I attend a Sunday Service?

At our main weekly gathering, where all the TLC family come together you can expect a warm welcome, praise and worship, prayer, Bible-based teaching, refreshments and fellowship.

For more information about our weekly Sunday Service click here.

What do I wear?

Our church has a “come as you are” atmosphere. You will see some dressed up; some dressed casual.

Will you be asking for money?

Occasionaly we do take up an offering, but TLC is supported financially by the people who have chosen to make it their home. You won’t find us trying to squeeze cash out of you every time you walk through the door. Giving should flow out of our desire to love God and be a part of what He’s doing in and through the church.

We do have an offering box available on our welcome desk on Sundays if you wish to donate. Or talk to us about making donations into our bank account.

What is there for Kids at TLC?

During our main service, children up to the age of 12 go out most weeks for their own time of teaching and connecting, youth (13+) stay in for the entire Celebration Service and meet as a group after the service. There are also socials and clubs that happen during the week, which our kids and youth are encouraged to attend.

How do I become a “member” of TLC?

We don’t have a traditional church membership. We’re not keeping attendance records. We don’t have any levels to attain. If you find community here, if you feel joined in the heart of our mission and vision, and participate in the weekend services and a Connect Group – if you consider us your church home, we consider you a part of Trinity Life Church.

So, there is no "membership course"?

Whilst we don’t have a traditional membership model we do run an informal course called the “In and Out” course. This 3-week course is designed to give an overview of who we are, what we believe and gives a chance for you and TLC to get to know  each other.

How do I volunteer at TLC?

If you’re a regular attendee of TLC and want to get involved by volunteering, visit our serving opportunities page to get started.
