Church Family Update

The lifting of government restrictions allows us to meet in person once more. As we want to act and maintain an awareness and responsibility while COVID is still impacting our communities, we are still issuing our own guidance to all who attend TLC meetings. We want to play our part in preventing any further unnecessary spread of the virus and protecting those who are most vulnerable in our church and community.

01/11 Update on building renovation and meetings

Hi everyone,

We are pleased to announce a start week of 15th November for our building renovation. God has so blessed us and we are really excited to finally be underway. However, this does mean that there will be disruption with regard to use of the building and we won’t be meeting there for our regular Sunday gathering. In light of this, we have produced a timetable of where we will be meeting over the coming months.

Keep strong in the Lord and seek time with the Father. We love you and pray for you always,
Cate and Matt

Hi everyone,

We are super excited to be welcoming you back to church this week.

The plan is to have an hour of prayer (no booking required) from 9am to 10am, followed by a ½ hour break to set up and practice for worship. Feel free to arrive any time from 10.15am for the service, grab a cup of tea/coffee and then at 10.30 we will have a time of worship.

At the end of worship we will do ‘brunch’ and then pray for the children as they head off to the park for lots of fun and opportunity to reconnect and build relationally again as we appreciate that they haven’t seen each other at church for a long time. We will then share a bit of our heart as we look at coming back together after an age of meeting online.

We are conscious that there are some who still feel they would like to social distance, with this in mind we have set up the building in such a way that we can hopefully accommodate everyone.

We request that everyone still signs in on the NHS App if you have it and also use hand sanitiser. There will be 2 socially distanced bookable zones at the back; otherwise there is no need to book in. We would ask that everyone when moving around and when singing would wear a mask, but a mask is not required when seated.

If you have any concerns or questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. We’re so looking forward to seeing you all, so come along and catch up with everyone, really can’t wait.

Love Cate and Matt

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your patience in awaiting our formal plans for the immediate future bearing in mind the recent government decisions. The advice from government is that faith groups should cancel their meetings at the current time.

We want to be wise and ensure that people are protected and safe as far as we are able. Therefore we have made the difficult decision that Equip Groups are cancelled with immediate effect, but we are looking at options to take these online as soon as we can and we will update people as and when we have a solution. We are also postponing our Sunday morning meetings until further notice and will look to have an online service up and running as of next week.

For those who are not online, or struggle with the technical, we will endeavor to provide online support in order to help people get connected.

We are looking at other solutions to maintain family and fellowship connections throughout the week as we know that some will need to self-isolate and we want to ensure that everyone stays connected and is fully supported as best we can.

We will make further announcements as we sure up what we will be providing.

These are times of challange but also of great opportunity to demonstrate God’s love in our towns and villages. This is not about responding to fear, this is about taking responsibility and believing for God to be moving in these times for good.

If you have any concerns or need support or help in any way, please contact someone in the leadership team.

We love you and are praying for you,
Cate and Matt

The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest...he leads me...he strengthens me...he guides me. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. You protect and comfort me.

Psalm 23:1-4

If you have found yourself with time at home then take time to focus on Jesus and spend quality time with him, keep up with your family and friends via video links, phone calls and messages, pray for our nation and seek the Lord for how he wants to use you to support others and ‘be’ kingdom in the community at this time.

Bless you all.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you that you are our peace, our refuge and our strength. Thank you that in you we have no need to fear or be anxious about anything but that we can trust you completely for everything at all times.
