And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
[Acts 2:42-47 ESV]

Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work. So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
[2 Timothy 2:21-22 ESV]

intro_membershipIt's evident from the beginning, the early church grouped together as a community. They shared with those who had any need. They joined together in a vision under the leadership of the apostles and elders, and met regularly together with a single Christ-centred mission. We, as a community in Christ's church, have a PASSION to follow God's calling on our lives. We are committed to continually searching our lives, allowing the Holy Spirit to change us and PURIFY us, as a bride ready for her bridegroom. We want to see restoration of all things through the POWER of Jesus Christ. As a community committed to Christ and His mission, we want to be all IN for each other and all OUT for Jesus.

As family, we are there to support and challenge one another to live out the calling God has chosen for us. When we surrender ourselves to Christ, we become members of God’s family. When we choose to join together as a local church, under God's specific calling, we commit to participate actively in the Christ-centred vision for that local fellowship.

At TLC, we share a common commitment, a common community and a common vision. As part of the TLC family, there are a number of statements that express our passion for Christ and our devotion to each other. Each of these declarations helps us to maintain a united direction and purpose as we live out the calling God has for us.

If you share in this commitment to be all in for one another and all out for Christ, have a heart for the community of Royston and are stirred by God’s vision for TLC why not explore what it means to be part of the TLC family by attending an upcoming IN & OUT Course.
